The 2012 Mercury Insurance Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the third tournament of the Mercury Insurance Open since it left the tour in 2007. It was classifed as one of the FWTT Premier tournaments and was the second leg in the 2012 US Open Series.
